The Gunners confirmed the announcement of the defender's deal on its official website on Thursday, March 14, 2024. According to the club's statement, White's new contract will keep him at the Emirates for the next four years with an option to extend by an extra year.

The player expressed his excitement concerning his new contract and he hopes to win trophies with the Gunners during his time at the club.

He has been a key part of Mikel Arteta's squad since he completed his move from Brighton during the 2021 summer transfer window. The 26-year-old is known for his versatility at both ends of the pitch whenever he is called upon to represent the club.

The club's manager, Mikel Arteta, confirmed to Sky Sports on Sunday, August 22nd, 2021 after the game against Chelsea, that nine of his first-team players have tested positive to Covid-19 since the start of the new season.

Arsenal will hope the Portuguese can bring his experience into the team.

They will hope that the English man brings his form into the team by ensuring he gets his body on the line and there will be few errors leading to goals from his end. White started all games for Brighton last season except for two under manager Graham Potter. The defender is excellent on the ball and has a fantastic pass range and, keeping 11 clean sheets. He can play at the Right back or the wing-back.

Sambi Lokonga is a defensive midfielder who joined the Gunners on a 4 year-deal from Anderlecht for 18 million pounds on Monday, July 19th, 2021. We expect him to get drafted into the team immediately except Arsenal signs another player who plays the same position as he does.

Arsenal's manager Mikel Arteta expressed his excitement about the fresh addition to the club. He said on the club's website that White has learned a lot from Brighton and also from Leeds when he was on loan with the club in the Championship.

Ben was a top target for us, and it's great that we have completed his signing. Ben has been educated with two very good clubs, Brighton and Leeds, in recent seasons. He has benefitted well from two very good coaching set-ups and has shown with Brighton and on loan with Leeds what a strong talent he is.

The 23-year-old was an integral part of the Leeds United team in the 2019/20 season that gained promotion into the Premier League for the first time in 16 years. He was also key in Brighton's survival in the just concluded 2020/21 Premier League season. He was awarded the best player in the club last season, following his outstanding defensive abilities which helped the Seagulls survive relegation.

Arsenal will hope the English defender fills the void that was left by David Luiz who parted ways with the club last season. The Gunners will start their 2021/22 Premier League campaign with an away visit to newly-promoted side Brentford.

The transfer news was confirmed by seasoned reporter Fabrizio Romano on his official Twitter account on Wednesday, July 27, 2021.

According to Fabrizio, White has signed the deal with Arsenal which will see him stay at the club until 2026. The transfer fee for the deal between Arsenal and Brighton is 50 million pounds.

Arsenal is looking to strengthen their defense going into the 2021/22 Premier League season. The signing will also fill the void left by Brazil's defender David Luiz who left the club last season.

The Defender joined Brighton in 2014 from Southampton but he enjoyed a series of loan spells before he could break into the Seagulls first team last season. He made 41 appearances for the club in all competitions. White was also influential in his loan spell at Leeds United when he helped them gain promotion from the Championship to the Premier League in the 2019/20 season.

We expect the deal to cost Arsenal £50m but that will be a certainty after Ben White completes his Arsenal medicals on Wednesday the 28th of July 2021 before he is officially unveiled by the London-based club.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are also looking to make another bid to sign Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

Arsenal is hoping a deal can be sorted in time for the 23-year-old center-back who was part of England's Euro 2020 squad to join their camp before the curtain-raiser of the season.

Ben White made a lot of positive impressions when he starred in legendary coach, Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United that won promotion to the premier league and he has continued his development in the toughest league in the world by featuring regularly for Brighton and Hove Albion last season.
