Palhinha expressed his excitement on Bayern Munich's website concerning his move to join the club.

"This is one of the happiest days of my life. I am m now playing for one of the top clubs in Europe. It's a dream come true for me, and I'm very proud of that."

Palhinha made 79 appearances over two seasons in Fulham, scoring just goals. He was part of Portugal's squad that played the Euro 2020, the 2022 World Cup, and this summer’s Euro 2024 in Germany, where his team reached the quarter-finals. Palhinha has 31 caps for Portugal (two goals).

It wouldn't have happened the other way round. We accept the apology (from the linesman) but this is not the time to apologise. It's the semi-finals and it's not the time to make those sort of mistakes.”
