The Afrobeats Rumble is a single-elimination competition featuring 64 artistes, where head-to-head matchups determine who advances to the next round, with the loser being eliminated.

The selected artistes represent the top talents from across Africa, chosen by a panel of music industry professionals based on their contributions to the global promotion and growth of Afrobeats, a genre that continues to evolve with each era of African music.

The first edition of NotJustOk's Afrobeats Rumble kicks off today, Tuesday, September 10, 2024, with matchups being revealed on social media. A fan-driven voting system will be available across various platforms, allowing fans and music enthusiasts to vote for their favourite artists.

At her New York show, she debuted an unreleased track, Rhythm and Blues. The song sees Ayra Starr sing about the depth of her love for her love interest. The song is a quintessential afrobeats song with a catchy melody and deep bounce. 

In the video she posted to her X profile, the singer says,

’Got to perfom my next single Rhythm and blues for New York mobstarrs, this is one of the places I feel the most loved in America , I feel the most inspired in New York ! RHYTHM AND BLUES’

Nigerian music stars Ladipoe, Ayra Starr, Ajebutter22, and a host of others wowed the crowd at the 2021 Palmwine Music Fest in London.

The Palmwine Music Fest, organized by Nigerian alternative music duo, Show Dem Camp, kicked off yesterday, and it saw a lot of Nigerian stars thrill the audience with their mind-blowing performances. Held at Earth Hackney in London, the music fest saw the likes of The Cavemen, Falana, Tolani, Moelogo, BOJ and other thrilling acts. Of course, the host, Show Dem Camp equally gave a mind-blowing performance of their songs.

The Palmwine Fest tour will run from October this year down till January of 2022 as the franchise will be heading on tour to other cities like Lagos, Abuja, Accra, and New York.

The 19-year old singer, songwriter and model who is set to release her debut album "19 & Dangerous" on August 6 2021 has decided to churn out a tune off the project titled 'Blood Samaritan'.

Produced by the talented Nigerian beatmaker London, 'Bloody Samaritan' is a fast-paced afro-fusion tune that will no doubt get you nodding as soon as the beat drops. The Mavins star brilliantly did justice to the song with her lyrics, melodies, and delivery. 'Bloody Samaritan' theme revolves around good vibes, positivity, and good energy.

A perusal of the new artiste's online profile from an introductory video clip of her artiste persona, has revealed Ayra to be a young RnB singer with powerful vocals. 

Don Jazzy, who has quite the talent booster portfolio under his belt, also went into full-on A&R mode on his Instagram page where he broke down his reasons for signing the 18 years old talent, Ayra Starr with an introductory video.

He said;

“Last year I met the most incredible 18 year old girl, her name is @AyraStarr. Through her lyrics guided by her soulful voice, I am able to see the world from a teenager's point of view. Ayra is not just an amazing artist, she is an all round superstar. It’s been a fantastic experience working behind the scene for over a year and we at Mavin Global are super proud to present to the world today #AyraStarr.”
