The supporters of Brighton and Hove Albion were in the seventh heaven when the club confirmed the arrival of Ansu Fati on a loan deal.

The Seagulls announced the arrival of the Spanaird on the deadline day of the 2023 summer transfer window on Friday, September 1, 2023. The 20-year-old made 36 La Liga appearances last season for Barca, helping Barcelona win their first title for four years.

Brighton's head coach, Roberto De Zerbi was happy with the deal and looked forward to working with Ansu Fati.

"This is a great deal for all of us. I am sure Ansu will help us to reach a new target and we can help him get back at the level he deserves to be.”

In September 2019 he became Barcelona’s youngest Champions League player and his goal against Inter Milan in December 2019 made him the youngest player to score a goal in Champions League history. He finished the 2019/20 season having made 33 appearances and scoring eight goals.

The 2022/23 season was the most successful in his careee, he won the La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup for Barcelona as well as the UEFA Nations League with Spain.

Brighton and Hove Albion have reportedly completed the signing of Ansu Fati from Barcelona on a season loan deal.

The Seagulls against all odds hijacked the deal from Chelsea and Tottenham for the youngster whose buy-out clause was placed at £1 billion by Barcelona. Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Ansu Fati is expected to complete his medical with the Premier League club before the 2023 transfer window shuts down.

The Spaniard has made 112 appearances for Barcelona, he has scored 29 goals with 10 assists across all competitions since he broke into the Catalonia's first team.

The 20-year-old is expected to complete his deal to the south coast, with Brighton swooping in and hijacking the deal. The manager of Brighton, Roberto De Zerbi was a key part of convincing Fati to join his team instead of Tottenham.

Tottenham will have to find another player to fill in that void before the transfer window closes on Friday, September 1, 2023.

Barcelona Gives Ansu Fati Jersey Number 10

Barcelona has confirmed that Ansu Fati will wear the number 10 jersey for the Catalonia club. The club's legend Lionel Messi previously won the jersey number. Messi left Barcelona for Paris Saint Germain, in July 2021 after the club stated Financial Fair Play rule in Spain as a reason for not renewing his contract.

Barcelona announced the news on its official website on Wednesday, September 2021. Messi left Camp Nou after 21 years with the Catalan club, which made him the club's greatest player for the past two decades. He was handed the jersey number in 2008 after the departure of Ronaldinho from the club.

There have been speculations that Barcelona will retire the Number 10 jersey, but that has ended following the announcement by the club. Fati has records in the league and the UEFA Champions League since he made his debut in 2019. He became the youngest player to score in the league for Barcelona.

Ansu Fati Returns from Injury after Nine Months

Ansu Fati has returned to training after he was sidelined from the game for nine months. The last time he played for Barca was a 5-2 win over Real Betis on November 7, 2020. The teenager has been a victim of a serious knee problem, but he is finally at the end of his recovery.

His return of the player is an enormous boost for the Catalonia club going into the rest of the season. The La Liga club will hope he stays fit so there will be more options in the attack as they compete in League and the UEFA Champions League. Barcelona confirmed the news of his return on Tuesday, August 24th, 2021 via Twitter.
