The Brazilian international completed his move to the Saudi Arabian professional league side, Al-Hilal. Neymar signed a two-year deal with no option to extend, he is expected to earn $300 million, which could go up to a potential $400 million total until 2025 based on add-ons and commercial deals.

Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona during the 2017 summer transfer window for £200 million. He made 30 appearances, scoring 28 goals, picking up 16 assists, and winning three titles (Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and Coupe de la Ligue) in his first season.

The 31-year-old went on to win four more Ligue 1 titles (2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023), two Coupes de France (2020 and 2021), a Coupe de la Ligue (2020), and three Trophées des Champions (2018, 2020, and 2022).

The Brazilian forward scored 118 goals in 173 matches, making him Paris Saint-Germain's fourth-all-time highest scorer.

The Ligue 1 club have permitted Al-Hilal to speak with the player as they look to convince him to sign a one-year deal, they submitted a record-breaking £259 million for the forward player.

If this deal sees the light of day that means Mbappe will takeover Neymar's transfer record from Barcelona to PSG. At least five clubs reached out to French giants PSG over the weekend to register their interest in the attacker, according to Sky Sports.

Al-Hilal reportedly submitted an official bid to Paris Saint Germain for the forward player who has one year left on his contract. According to reports, PSG received a bid worth €300 million for the player.

Kylian Mbappe was dropped from PSG's pre-season training as the club are preparing for the 2023/24 football season under the management of Luis Enrique. He had initially told the board at the club that he would not trigger his bid to sign a contract extension at the end of next season (2024).

There are unconfirmed reports that the 24-year-old had already agreed on personal terms with Real Madrid which did not go down well with PSG. The news was confirmed on the official Twitter account of Al-Hilal on Saturday, January 29th, 2022. According to reports from the club, the Nigerian joined the club for an undisclosed fee for the next one and a half years.

Ighalo joined Al-Hilal from Al-Shabab, a club he joined in February 2021. He is the leading goal scorer in the Saudi Arabian league with 12 goals to his name.
