Today is about the Nigerian rapper Gilbert Bani, popularly known as A-Q. Walk with us as we unveil the tales behind A-Q's discography and Albums.

With 18 projects under his sleeves, A-Q is top three Hip-hop artists with the most valuable catalogs in Nigerian hip-hop scene. We are waiting for God's Engineering 3, which he promised on the Chocolate city cypher which dropped 9th January 2024.

A-Q started professional music quite early signing his 1st record deal in 2001 with Big Leaf Records where he was for two years before he started working on his own in 2003.

Listen and Overstand Album

His 1st single, ‘(W)rap Nigeria’, produced by kraftmatics, debuted in 2004 followed by a music video which exposed the hip-hop artiste to the public for the first time. He subsequently released a full compilation album Listen and Overstand on November 9, 2005.

The 15-track project's first single is the critically acclaimed "(W)rap Nigeria" which shook the Hip-Hop community. This is the album that started his Q's journey.

Maga Must Pay Mixtape

In 2006 A-Q put out a mix tape titled Maga Must Pay Vol 1. which sold about 3000 copies. Both works did not get much radio and television rotation because of the developing and lopsided nature of the industry at the time.

A-Q graduated in 2010 and went back fully into the entertainment industry this time co-floating a record label ‘Hustle Inc’ on whose platform he started Black Friday Twitter Freestyles, a weekly online release for free download every Friday.

This became a trending topic on Twitter as track after track were heavy hitters and got him online acknowledgement including from ace producer Don Jazzy who styled him “one of the sickest rappers alive”.

The Past, Present and Future Album

Capitalizing on the new hype he recorded and released "The Past, Present and Future" album in December 2010 which had hit singles Names, and Champagne and Rum. This A-Q's album received critical acclaim and was rated as one of the best hip-hop albums released that year.

The Live Report EP (with MI Abaga)

On April 15, 2020, A-Q released his 2nd collaborative project titled "The Live Report" with M.I Abaga. The album briefly curates several talking points from a year ravished by a pandemic in just 6 songs, leaving room for individual interpretation. It was recorded in 5 days.

The album was inspired by a tweet from a fan who wished they'd collaborate on a project after their stellar performances on Q's "God's Engineering" and M's "Judah The E.P.", released earlier in the year.

The album was solely produced by the late great Beats by Jayy, who registered his trademark production filled with chopped-up soul samples. All three collaborators never met in the same room as conversations were made via Whatsapp.

Ethos Album (with Brymo)

Still on A-Q's Discography and albums rundown, on August 12, 2022, A-Q and Brymo released a new album titled, “Ethos”. The Album is personal stories about Life, Loss and Love, A-Q excited to share the album of the year with y’all.

Built around notions of love, growth and loss, Ethos sees rapper A-Q and performing artist Brymo join forces for sobering reflections of life. Fusing rap verses with alternative sounds that draw from the folksy, traditional and soulful, the duo embellish this offering with personal tales crafted upon Bigfootinyourface`s instrumentation.

Ethos Album cover

Revelatory storytelling ensues ranging from the confessional (“Family First”), longing (“Do You Ever Miss Me”), socio-political (“Baale House”) and cautionary (“Ni Temi”) as A-Q weaves philosophical musings between Brymo’s gripping vocals.

An exploration of themes such as mental health, substance dependence and grief are folded into these ten fluid tracks, with a poignancy familiar to both artists.

With a mix of R&B, pop and African folk, Brymo has balanced love songs and social commentary on a string of albums.

Gilbert ‘A-Q’ Bani who was still enjoying the success of his last two projects; ‘God’s Engineering‘ and ‘Golden‘ out did himself on Ethos.

God’s Engineering II

As the follow-up to the sonically varied project that expanded his profile during the pandemic, God`s Engineering 2 is packed with raw thoughts about a trove of issues spread between failed friendships, changes in status and the inner workings of the music business. On it, A-Q assumes the role of a preacher, serving the audience a 33-minute sermon loaded with life doctrines.

Opener “Friction” is built on a blend of twinkling keys and sullen synths that create a solemn mood.

That state of mind is reprised on the freewheeling “What`s Happening”, where A-Q declutters his mind with a recounting of topics that dominated social media. Frequent collaborator Blaqbonez contributes the earwormy hook, softening the mood and emphasising the importance of FAMILY at a time when friends can also double as haters.

Official Tracklist of God's Engineering II

  1. Friction
  2. Blueprint
  3. What’s Happening
  4. Family
  5. Mogadishu
  6. King Solomon
  7. PS2
  8. All Paid For
  9. Man Made
  10. Fate Vs Destiny
  11. Outrospection

Flavored with soulful samples, the 11-track tape is a testament to A-Q`s immaculate songwriting and reflective storytelling. On “King Solomon”, he gets vivid, mining his past and slowly divulging bits of his unwholesome experience in the music business.

But as the album's title reveals, it's all God's engineering for Oga Gilbert Bani, whose storied history includes shining the spotlight on Afropop`s emerging voices as a label boss, some of whom he name-checks on the gritty “Ps2

In summary, if you're asked "How many Albums make the A-Q's Discography list?", tell them Gilbert Bani is 18 projects deep:

Listen and overstand, Maga must pay, Love and money, The past present and future, Make your best rapper look stupid, Son of John, Son of John II, Catch your sub, The definition, Rose, Blessed forever, Crown (with loose kaynon), God’s engineering, Golden, The live report (with MI Abaga), Behold the lamb, Ethos, God’s engineering II.

Shalom!

As a bastion of exceptional talents in the Nigerian music industry, Chocolate City celebrates a remarkable 20-year journey. Over these two decades, the label has become synonymous with nurturing some of the finest artists in the industry, boasting of breeding some of the greatest rappers in the country. As part of its dual celebration - honoring both its 20th anniversary and the monumental 50 years of hip-hop - Chocolate City orchestrates a grand reunion in its latest release, the Chocolate City Cypher.

This is not an ordinary cypher; it's a grand reunion and historic convergence of generational talents. It brings together the veterans who have contributed in shaping the Nigerian hip-hop scene – M.I Abaga, Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, and Loose Kaynon – with the explosive abilities of those holding the game right now - A-Q and Blaqbonez. This is an indication of Chocolate City's enduring legacy and its role in the evolving narrative of Nigerian hip-hop.

Each of these six rappers brings their unique flair to the cypher, delivering fiery bars with a fervor that speaks of undiminished passion and skill. Their performances are not just about the music; they're bold statements, showcasing the power and versatility of Nigerian hip-hop. This cypher is more than just a collection of verses; it's a showcase of raw, unbridled talent, proving that each artist, irrespective of their era, remains a formidable force in the industry.

For fans of Nigerian music, this cypher is a momentous occasion. It satisfies a deep-seated nostalgia, rekindling memories of the golden era when the J-town brothers - M.I, Jesse Jagz, and Ice Prince – dominated the scene in the latter half of the previous two decades and the early years of the last decade. Seeing these rappers reunite, alongside the fresh energy of newer artists, is a visual and auditory feast, a reminder of the rich lineup of talents that Chocolate City has always been known for.

Again, the Chocolate City Cypher is more than just a performance; it is a celebration of legacy, a bridge between eras, and an exhibition of the enduring power of Nigerian hip-hop. As these artists come together, they not only reminisce about the past but also forge new paths, setting the stage for more such collaborative and groundbreaking moments in the Nigerian music industry. This cypher isn't just satisfying for hip-hop fans; it's a beacon of inspiration, signaling that the best of Nigerian hip-hop, past, present, and future, is highly influenced by Chocolate City.

In the latest episode of the Zero Conditions podcast, music journalist and media personality Motolani Alake dropped a bombshell that sent shockwaves through the Nigerian hip-hop scene.

With fervour in his voice, he boldly proclaimed that AQ, the enigmatic rap sensation, has held the torch for Nigerian hip-hop over the past three years. This bold assertion immediately set the stage for a heated discussion.

Motolani Alake didn't stop there; he didn't mince words when he argued that AQ's lyrical prowess surpasses that of the seasoned veteran, Naeto C. In fact, he went a step further by asserting that AQ deserves to claim a higher spot than Naeto C on his personal list of the most influential Nigerian hip-hop artists.

Meanwhile, co-host Excel Joab had her own perspective on the matter. He pointed out that AQ's cultural impact on the scene can be likened to the vibrant presence of Blaqbonez and the annual cyphers orchestrated by notable alcoholic brands such as Martell.

This conversation hasn't been well-received among hip-hop enthusiasts on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Here are a few of the reactions:

A-Q

A-Q - Outrospection Lyrics

Verse 1
I am my trauma
I grew up not having a lot
Went from not having much to not having at all
So, every time I got money it's a habit to floss
I want to know how it is to live magnificent but
Every time I tried it's like I'm not making enough
How you got money you're unable to touch
I'm scared to spend I don't flinch when the cable is off
With everything I made I'm not able enough
Raise in a humble household simple clothes, Sunday shoes
Now it just feels like I'm not wavy enough
My folks raised me with the information they got
There was no internet then not mental health Trend
My Pops was a decent man, hot tempered
Never spared the rod he used the cane for his children learn
And I physical fought my brothers and then I physical fought classmates and friends
Confrontational for every time
I stretched my hands for those strokes of the cane that cause me pain and
Now I comprehend why I so violent and the only thing I fear got bullets in them
Son of my mother's old age she couldn't make the time
So, now I'm seeking attention from my feminine friends
In ways that could be baby like if you knew what the 80's like
The environment was crazy right kinda shit that you fight
Expose to girls in public schools, now I’m looking for girls that's kinda ghetto like
You know what the ghettos like
Thin waist, soft ynash, dark skin copyright
You know she’s going to fuck you right, tonight is your lucky night
You know you can’t trust her right, I couldn’t trust anyone
Couldn’t trust my mum to have food on the table after schoolwork was done
And no, I couldn't fault her She's the reason I won't falter rose you're an amazing mum
Trauma gave me my super power of overthinking shit
I think about it think again then overthink that shit
I know what's in their contracts before they print that shit
I thought about it before you thought about thinking of that shit
Always on my guard paranoia made me see that shit
See you moving funny like when my dad don't have no money
And he's trying to make me feel at ease
Scheming couldn't clip my wings
Dude was telling me to get a therapist to intercede
Every curse would come with a gift if you let it be
Won the battle with my demons locked ‘em up won't set ‘em free
Wrote my experiences on dairies now I’m writing them on songs either way
I will live on, I am my trauma

Verse 2
I just, I just, I just, I just
I just think I should say this now
A couple peeps wanna fade me out
Dear lord who's going to save me now
I got on my knees, and I prayed it out
Never counted on no man to make it out
I just made the route and I played it out
False prophets almost made me doubt
The wisdom that came from king David's house
Play this loud but don't make a sound
It still weighs on me like 80 pounds
Got a pair shoes for 80 thou
That's a hundred dollars that don't make me proud
Amazing how money changes out in different countries and the blame is ours
An economy made for only raising touts
Words that came from a baby's mouth
I got on my knees, and I prayed it out
She got on her knees and ate me out
Below water I’m a submarine
Above water I’m a navy scout
I don’t play fair 'cause the game is foul
The game is rigged I made a vow to make it out, the crazy route while they devour

A-Q

A-Q & Cobhams Asuquo - Fate VS Destiny Lyrics

Verse 1: A-Q
The difference between me and these rappers it’s a mic thing
I’m saying something they stringing words for rhyme schemes
Or rapping at the speed of a light beam that kind thing
You’re thinking to yourself what they might mean
In any event they get to blow they just rehearsing a fight scene
There’s no difference between a nightmare and a pipe dream
Scary at the end and lessons they might bring
If you live by the numbers, be prepared when the dice spins
I’m striking in the same place twice; you see the flash before the thunderous sound yes bro, it’s lightning
Doing it twice with one album then flip ‘em both
Around you find the beginning of the end is my life dreams
My fate is with the author destiny I’m rewriting
If fate be for us I ain’t scared what the night brings
If fate will keep us, then I’m destined for the right things
Destiny is about timing; fate is what the time brings
Said I couldn’t push that light green, car with a nice screen, seats are like ice cream
Said I wouldn’t make nothing of my mic dreams, it might seem,
Jordan or Jackson, it’s really just my thing
Crazy with the metaphors just hand me my five rings
Can’t touch these metaverses I’m speaking in bilin…gual
It's really just frightening
How the tables turn when we could have been dinning
I don't use a fork when I dine with the devil, It's both hands
As fate will have it, they created my own pronouns
I'm him, small h, 'cause I fear the lord
Odumodublvck it’s all caps when they press record
Witness as my blessing pour, politics I’m less involved
'Cause I know the problems are more technical we less informed
It's hard to take an L cos my steps evolve
I know they keeping watch but they probably bought a replica
Everything I have I make as sacrifice and offer God
Everything I am you made spectacle I'm press forward
And if fate fails me destiny would miss me too
If I never sold a record, I'd still make it out this fucking zoo
Time is money life ain't got no happy endings
What you made on this Journey the grave won't let you do no spending
If you live by the gun, be careful of who you’re sending
If you live by the pen, I pray your words would bring you blessings

Chorus: Cobhams Asuquo
'Cause I was born to be
A victim of my fate you see
A victor that’s my destiny
It’s been decided and I won’t fight it
'Cause I’m winning

Verse 2: Cobhams Asuquo
Check
They say sight to aim right but I aim right
'Cause my piss in position like missionary whoa
I hit ‘em dead center in real eye with my eyes closed
I suppose I’m a visionary whoa
'Cause when it’s meant to be then it’s meant to be
That’s the real purpose of fate and destiny
Got to be tripping on that Molly ecstasy
The only way to glimpse a man who was born to be
A victim of my fate you see
A victor that’s my destiny
It’s been decided and I can’t fight it
'Cause I’m winning and that’s how it was meant to be

Outro
Don’t try to act like you don’t know this some international shiiiiii

A-Q - Friction Lyrics

Verse 1
I back like I never left, everything went left for once I wasn’t right
GPS said left on a stormy night, now
I'm left with is my last breath on this bloody mic, yeah Funny right
Blood on the leaves but this 3s is something like they left Steph curry’s hands
Shots fired, never miss, left hand been fortified
When I throw this hook, it’s like death on your mother's side,
Uncles gone, brothers cry
Died in battle and immortalized
All systems go 'cause I authorized
Left pride in my daughters' eyes, ego on the other side
Wherever life takes me I’d enjoy the ride
Got my mind right and my time right
I reversed the clock 2020 vision is hindsight
Best of luck
Took a step back to move forward see I’m pressed for time
24 hrs. ain’t enough for my progressive mind

Verse 2
To everyone listening, fake fans visiting
To all the rappers I had to discipline, stay glistening
To Hiphop heads whose faith is now flickering
Here’s another one from the greatest, let’s get it in
I’ve seen it all, the rise and the fall to the Headies awards
When I got up on stage and listed ‘‘em all
When iron sharpens iron there’s friction involved
So, when you see us clashing is a definitive cure
For the culture that’s the image from an infinity curve
When Joey Akan tweets he doesn’t speak for the cause
They couldn’t see me win I had their vision restored
Call me anything but broke even my lyrics insured
For every step you take your just revealing the floors (flaws)
Could be progress or mistakes the decision is yours
So, when you press play what are you listening for
The decision is yours

A-Q - Blueprint Lyrics

Verse 1
First thing first I wanna say fuck
Politician's kids can kiss my ass and nuts daily
Wasn’t made for radio I don’t care if they don’t play this
Not impressed by stan culture do not fav this
Afrobeats to the world needs a new playlist
Cos a lot of these young artist starting to sound like they complacent
What do I know I ain’t even made a hit yet
Label advances got you 50 large in debt
Bro, I love you, but you can’t say no to money
You put 0s before your brother my homey your soul is muddy
Rather walk away before I ever go funny
You cannot replicate my grace is a case study
Of God’s Engineering you’re a bug standing near him
Never gavе a fuck when these blogs start comparing
What’s glaring, I’m milеs ahead of them
Every conversation around that is irrelevant

Chorus
How we do things
What do you think
When the sun’s up, I feel my mood swing
Where you wan go, shey Toronto
We still dey play here, getting blueprint
Getting new notes, I call ‘em blueprint
What do you think
Feel my mood swing
Where you wan go, shey Toronto
We still dey play here, getting blueprint

Verse 2
Too sick and I came with some new tricks
Came with some loud and I got better acoustics
New circle, new peeps, done with all the loose lips
To black ball me you need more than just a cue stick
Every time Q shift, shift the culture too sleek
My last album was the Ethos fuck what you think
Debating who the best still makes me laugh
Fuck Hennessy and the whole artistry staff
And Nosa, you have no decency
Owed Jayy money to the grave you stupid pig
They told me get money and behave silly me
Now it’s get money and be brave I'm finicky
How many times have they tried to finish me
The lies are killing me they can’t get rid of me
Cos the Lords will is my ability
I will willingly, blow em’ to smithereens

Chorus
How we do things
What do you think
When the sun’s up, I feel my mood swing
Where you wan go, shey Toronto
We still dey play here, getting blueprint
Getting new notes, I call ‘em blueprint
What do you think
Feel my mood swing
Where you wan go, shey Toronto
We still dey play here, getting blueprint

A-Q - King Solomon Lyrics

Chorus
The fall of king Solomon
Young boy thought he was wise he couldn’t follow one
God- had to switch off the lights and took the Glory from
You- always thought you was bright when you were molding one
False gods holding up mics I’m in my coldest form
Wanna speak my piece couldn’t find the sheets I wrote it on
Said I keep it niche still trying to reach you Pokémon’s
Studio with my 6 just spilling over this coke and rum

Verse 1
3 syllable rhymes every time I put my vocals on
Your down with those clowns you really see who the joke is on
Hiphop is dead oh yeah mehn all hope is gone
Still got lotion on where my hands can’t get a hold upon
Back rubs, Back shots precision with a loaded gun
When you write songs my fans know where you stole it from
Righteous obsessions fast forward your blessings
This is not rap this is a white boarding session
Too much to unpack here, tell me if there is cash there
Management had me making music with tribal crack heads
Nobody gets a pass here for a sec I was your cashier
Now I’m on my job no teams we don’t slack here
All these coins I’m making without a wallet on coin desk
From an office table my currency ain’t in coins yet
You can feel the prospects the progress that we’re making
There’s no conversation when you need rehabilitation
The higher the drugs take ‘em the lower your expectations
Everything you do is a cry for help you need saving
Not from me though, you’re driven by ego you can’t see clones
Looking through your peep hole my bro you’re in a deep hole

Chorus
The fall of king Solomon
Young boy thought he was wise he couldn’t follow one
God- had to switch off the lights and took the Glory from
You- always thought you was bright when you were molding one
False gods holding up mics I’m in my coldest form
Wanna speak my piece couldn’t find the sheets I wrote it on
Couldn't keep it streets cos lowkey I’m a coded one
Killer with the speech swinging hammers like I’m Odin's son

Verse 2
The late rise of AIs I coded one
They your new gods start worshiping all your favorite ones
For every problem solved beloved they created one
That’s how you sold your soul without even negotiating one
The cost of living a conceded life
Giving up your choices, your voice, the force that gave you life
Got your houses and your cars but you can't sleep at night?
A simple math of profit and loss could have made your business right
Now I’m here, you’re shook, it’s time to dim your light
Only agree to your terms (Tems) of creating leading vibes
Miracles with the money enough bread for 5000
Everybody eats whose counting, new routing for moving money
New housing, move mountains
Mustard seed faith we found the blue fountain
Sibling rivalry family should never compete
But it’s hard to put your love over greed

Studio with my 6 it’s me— I am the chosen one

A-Q - Mogadishu Lyrics

Intro
It was a long time (oh yeah)
It was a long time
It was a long time
It was a long time, wrong time
It was a long time (oh yeah)
It was a long time
It was a long time
It was a long time, wrong time

Verse 1
This is literature, trynna to figure out what God made me for
Seen a Levite in Levi’s jeans made in the image of
A Muslim in Christian Dior and as a mediator
I only wear it if the Nike cheques come with a signature
Embarrassing yourself out here rapping in c major
It's capital intensive and even these singers poor
Takе the autotune out of your mind hear your innеr voice
If you put money over strategy, you'd leave a void
Money can’t buy happiness, poverty will kill your joy
Rich or poor what's in-between that is your business choice
They say I changed when I got money that shit made giggle
The seeds of success would always grow into the root of evil
What did he do, did business with the Hindus
Gave Jews (Jewels) to the Hebrews, brought music to your hymn books
Where were you when I lived on Indomie noodles
When every Damn record label passed on my credentials
Never smiled much so couldn't see my dimples
Now every time they call me Young, they looking out for wrinkles
A drop could cause a ripple, a ripple cause a wave
A wave becomes tidal waves, now watch the tsunami hits you
Escaping generational cycles wasn’t an issue
Still I had to watch diabetes rip apart the tissues of my loved ones
Unborn sons pray that shit miss you
Sipping and reminiscing of the coast of Mogadishu
Somalia war torn country 3rd world
Nigeria, I pray that shit miss you
Unborn sons. I pray that shit miss u
Let it go, Let it play
Mehn I’m not trying to live a soft life, I’m trying to go hard all my life
Life is hard, and you got to be hard to get it

Verse 2
I’m not the coolest person that's a true confession
I’m not out here shaking my ass on the gram to influence nothing
Who's conserving
Stand up man, listen up schools in session
And we'd be good if you took corrections
Now it's all wired, I killed cordless for some new connections
Parted ships for new partnerships and I took my blessings
To where I'm appreciated, updated my suit collections
I kept it moving though it took concessions
Got to be technology in heaven is something I told the reverend
If I don't drive the Rolls Royce here or the BM 7-
Series, and I know that feeling is overrated
Got to slide in something slicker when my soul is elevated
Like look mama I made it
Survived the tribalism in music I had to say it
I don't celebrate birthdays fuck if I'm aging
I got to keep going until my organs are failing
Until I'm white and Grey and
For every morning glory I go hard until my grave and
For when her water breaks for every child that I'd raising
For all the history made and all the records I have broken
Cos every time I'm in the past the present is left unopened
I'm living in the moment cos the future is provoking
They promoting for the internet babies claiming the woken
It's funny we still buying all the Balenciaga clothing
They targeting our kids while we social media joking and sending memes
It's either we stupid or we just coping by any means
Or maybe it's just God engineering things
Either way I'm focus I'm hoping my late 30 brings
Blessings for eternity, I'm grateful still to everyone and everything that got me here
Glasses up, toast to what the future holds
Cheers to my future self I barely know
For now, I'm on the Telephone like beef is never set in stone
If you ever need anything just let me know. Yo

Official PS2 Lyrics by A-Q Feat Blaqbonez

A-Q & Blaqbonez - PS2 Lyrics

Verse 1: BlaqBonez
Now I pull up in Gucci from the top down
I’m with a model and she don’t smile
In public because of star sign
It don’t a make sense but I respect that
But back at home we having crazing sex
Sloppy when she working it I can tell you she American
When we hit the club, we popping bottles till like 5am
I whip the Mercedes like I stole it from Albanians
You know I had to walk on a distance
Grew up inside Lagos but I’m eastern
They no dey tell boys but the lord no wan gree for am
When the gbеdu drop e dey burst up their waist span
Waist pan twist whеn I spit man
Twist and they rolling you know me no need assistance
They know na my turn anything selling in instant
You no fit relate you get real fans
Boy you no get real fans

Chorus: BlaqBonez
Made it to where I am at it’s a blessing
'Cause back when I was young, I was reckless
Played PS 2 with my tuition
From a broke ass dude, I’m a magician
Thank God for Melodies in my head still
I for no fit to feed all my family
Now every time I walk in a section
I got 50 baddies come in my direction

Verse 2: A-Q
Real life experience You could tell my fears
I don't sell music I sell you ideas
Ideas in songs I try to tell my peers
The reason I keep winning is cos I'm self-aware
For every wrong I did I engineered repairs
From the day I went public I only sold you shares
Y'all bought what I was offering for a holding share
That's how you got stock on my whole career
For my 5years investment I got No idea
250k dollars capital for a page I shared
Floated a whole company without a dime from here
Ask me how I did it... I'm like No idea
A 20 year career of just hope and fear
Some sold me dreams some sold me tears
Some sold me nightmares I had to rotate my gears
Found Blaq the goose that laid the Golden eggs
Found Jay you know the news you know his dead
Found you, you know yourself you know I bled
Found 100crowns when all hope was dead
I gave hip-hop some of its Golden years
I found platinum plugs I put my soul in there
Raezy pls tell ‘em how they stole my shares
Good girl LA I pray you blow up this year
Ckay came knocking on my door that year
Congratulations guy it's all platinum I hear
I still open doors we don't close around here
I still got enough for more young careers
Tell me wetin I no fit do guy hold my hold my beer
But me I no go lie this game is cold I swear
You let a nigga drill a hole in your rare for money and fame
And you ain't even homo or queer, it's like Sodom in here
Me I stay focus I'm clear I roll solo and yeah
Carrying you rappers my whole career
Fuck your link up I rather be alone is this big house
Acrylic couch, lying in silk sheets sitting on polyester covers
Fuck it the girls love us
If you don't get the picture, get a screen shot
Even in low res, there's no mix up
It’s hard to keep up, nothing to discuss
Even in low res it's no mix up
I'm clear

Chorus: BlaqBonez
Made it to where I am at it’s a blessing
'Cause back when I was young, I was reckless
Played PS 2 with my tuition
From a broke ass dude, I’m a magician
Thank God for Melodies in my head still
I for no fit to feed all my family
Now every time I walk in a section

Verse 1
In and out office buildings with glass doors and ceilings
Pastors are preaching, thе password is giving
My whole squad is giving, oh God we living
All cars are giving, comе see the houses we live in
New cars for the season got jeeps for the rain
Sports cars in the evening, new balance my feet in
New shoes on the pedal the north face apparel
I had to stop body building I got to rich to be gyming
It’s fresh juice in the morning cardio in the evening
Don’t ask how I’m feeling you only call me for billing
Y’all puffing cigars trynna boost up you image
Set up your lungs your killing Azul will fuck up your kidneys
I see why you guys hate me I know why you underrate me
Same family that’s supposed to support me trynna negate me
Roll the windows down, turn off the AC, say cheese,
Just so you can see who’s in that spaceship hey sis
I’m sorry but I’m out of your league you can’t relegate me
I’m a sleeping giant you ain’t got the balls to wake me
I take nothing with a pitch of salt, I don’t like spicy food
I’m in a decisive mood take the cake and the icing too

Chorus
Got to keep my eyes open
'Cause bad belle plenty and they
Trying to disguise as your friend and your family
Is this love, is this, is this love, is this love
