Firstly, communication is an important factor in any relationship at all. This is evident in the ongoing P-Square feud. The feud clearly shows how important effective communication strengthen a relationship. Lack of communication, especially when misunderstandings and unaddressed issues occur, can lead to major conflicts. It is advisable for every individual to practice open, honest, and respectful communication. This will help prevent matters from escalating and offer solutions early enough. For instance, If Peter had expressed feeling disrespected by Paul’s actions before now, they might have addressed the issue privately, and the feud might have been avoided.

2. Separate personal and professional relationships

Secondly, it is necessary to separate personal and professional relationships to avoid conflicts. The saying “do not mix friendship with business” is correct. It is advisable to set clear boundaries and keep family matters apart from business matters. This will foster a healthy work and family relationship. It depicts that agreements and contracts are based on mutual understanding and negotiation, not emotions or entitlement. He further explained that the 40/60 slit ratio in the P-Square case is in favour of the performing artist. Though, it was negotiated with Jude their manager and the founder of Square Records and Northside Entertainment. However, it has been perceived as unfair by some due to Jude’s multi-layered roles and contributions.

3. Respect individuality and autonomy

Additionally, it is safe to say Peter and Paul had different opinions and creative visions which contributed to their feud. They did not recognize or respect their individuality and autonomy within the group. This would have promoted harmony in their professional relationship. 4. Forgiveness and reconciliation are essential

As of now, we do not know if the Okoye brothers have sought mediation or support in the ongoing feud. Although, former presidential candidate, Peter Obi visited them last week. However, the reason for his visit was not made public. Meanwhile, some celebrities and fans have weighed in on the P-Square feud urging the brothers to please resolve the issue and move on with making music but it is clear that they have not listened as the feud is still ongoing. If they had accepted help, their issues might have been resolved amicably.

Nostalgia is undoubtedly one of the many reasons why modern songs featuring samples from older releases, such as Love Me Jeje by Tems and Sitting on Top of the World by Burna Boy, can shine. “Lastly, it shows that music from our past will play a big role in shaping the future. If you notice, there’s a growing trend in sampling and interpolations. Tems, AG, Pheelz, Olamide, Chike, and co. are artists who have sampled old music this year,” he added. 

According to Motolani Alake a Label & Marketing Manager at Virgin Music, 

“The long and short of it: The mainstream Pop sound has expired. People need newness.”

“The Afro-pop sound expires every five years and people need new stuff.  That Asake-Piano-fusion, with a tinge and fuji and rap sustained it. Rema's album is polarized because people don't recognise 'new sound' beyond what's known.

“There's a reason why sounds from Ejeagha and Desperate Chicks are making waves on Tiktok. People are yearning for new stuff and because nothing is new, and 'newness' is usually just repurposing the past or an evolution of the past, we're seeing the past get repurposed,” he added.
