Top songs never stops because the music grind never stops, which means every week we’ll definitely see brand new songs released from every corner of Africa and that includes Ghana, and from some of our favorite top GH acts such as Kwesi Arthur, Darkovibes, Shatta Wale and so on, as well as new cats looking to catch their big break.

This past week was actually an amazing week for Ghana music. It saw two full projects from a talented artist and a talented producer, an "April fool" themed joint, and more.

Darkovibes - Kpanlogo (Album)

This week, Ghanaian rapper singer and songwriter Darkovibes presented his debut album, titled 'Kpanlogo'. It's an impressive offering, a 14 track selection of  afrobeats, hiplife, and trap, boasting guest features by Mugeez of R2Bees, Peruzzi, Runtown, Stonebwoy, Kwesi Arthur, Joey B, Mr Eazi and more. There's tons of good listening on the album, so dig in and take your pick! However, a personal fave of ours is "Wish Me Luck".

Kwesi Arthur - Turn On The Lights

This week Ghanaian rap superstar and "Grind Day" hitmaker Kwesi Arthur blessed us with a sweet tune. This one right here is titled "Turn On The Lights", and the Yung D3mz production sees the rapper skating in a melodious singing voice all over the smooth mid-tempo afrobeats tune.

Shatta Wale - April Fool

Ghanaian dancehall singer Shatta Wale never fails to come through with the humorous cuts. This one right here came out on the first of April, and it's aptly titled "April Fool". "April Fool" is an afrobeats dance tune filled with amusing lyrics, which the singer dropped along with an animated video.

GuiltyBeatz - Different (EP)

Ghanaian record producer and disk jockey GuiltyBeatz dropped his debut project this week, a 6 track EP titled 'Different'. 'Different' is a short but sweet offering full of danceable rhythms, from his signature afrobeats sound to the buzzing South African genre "Amapiano". Another collection of great listening, and it's seamless with no interruptions! Our favorite pick from the project is "Uthando" featuring Nonso Amadi.

Stonebwoy ft. Alicai Harley – Understand

Ghanaian dancehall titan Stonebwoy  is back once again this week with another offering in the run leading up to his album, and this one is titled "Understand". It's a collaboration featuring Jamaican dancehall songstress Alicai Harley, and it sees her and the singer trade verses on the bouncy dancehall production.

Overview of GuiltyBeatz – Different (EP)

Talented Ghanaian record producer GuiltyBeatz presents a brand new EP, titled 'Different'.

The EP is a 6 track offering, and it's the producer and disk jockey's debut project.

Boasting features by JoeBoy, Nonso Amadi, Mr Eazi, J. Derobie, Cina Soul, Moonchild Sanelly and more, the EP has on board a diverse crop of artists from around Africa, who all bring their unique styles and sounds to the table.

Entirely produced by GuiltyBeatz himself, the Banku Music in-house producer shows his production skills by dishing out not just his signature afrobeats dance anthems, but lush South African rhythms as well.

One of the songs has been previously released as a single, "Iyabo" featuring Falz and Joey B.

'Different' is a very well put together package of infectious rhythms and melodies, and we can't get enough of it!

Nigerian superstar and Banku Music mastermind - Mr Eazi, dishes out new item for the fans and it is titled "Freedom".

He teamed up with Ghanian sensational producer - GuiltyBeatz, Empawa Africa's empowered act - J.Derobie, Rwandan multi-talented singer, Sherrie Silver and the United Nations International Fund for Agricultural Development for a special dance anthem to change the world.

The whole package comes with a befitting visual, shot on location in rural Cameroon by director Olle Enqvist.

 Their new song 'Freedom' is in support of the #DanceforChange hashtag campaign and aims to help raise attention and funding for Africa’s youngest farmers, and the millions of rural youth around the world, who are ready to feed their communities and help make the world more food secure. This new music video from director Olle Enqvist was shot on location with young farmers from rural Cameroon from an IFAD-supported project which is working to create jobs and reduce poverty for young people. Help them make sure world leaders invest more in agriculture and empower young people in Africa and around the world, to increase food production, provide jobs to young people and reduce poverty.

As the name suggests "Thankful" is a song where the singer gives thanks and praise to God for all the things He has done for her, and for her bright future as well. Itz Tiffany music has been in short supply lately, so we're glad to hear this new one from her.

GuiltyBeatz and Mr Eazi released a version of Genging about 3 weeks ago with a 16 bar space for a verse which they released to fans and started off a competition. The competition was fierce as they received so many entries which was then tapered to a final list of four that included Raph Enzee, Supa Gaeta, Linobeezy and N.O.B. and was finally settled in a voting poll with votes from about 2000 fans on twitter as Supa Gaeta emerged the winner.
